Victoria has a long, rich history that traces back to the mid-1800s. Its first settler is believed to have arrived in 1851. The town received its name from St. Victoria Church, which is still a staple of the town to this day.

A drive through this charming community will reveal a colorful array of architectural styles. Whether you prefer Victorian-style homes or Modern ones, Victoria has all that and more.

Things to Do 

Nature enthusiasts are sure to love all that Victoria has to offer. The Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail, which spans over 15 miles, runs through downtown Victoria and along Steiger Lake. Whether you are biking, jogging, or simply enjoying a stroll, this trail allows you to soak in water views of Lake Minnetonka. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not use the extensive bike trail system that runs throughout the city to bike to Wayzata?​​​​​​​

Additionally, Victoria features several lakes, including Lake Auburn, Steiger Lake, Church Lake, and more. This offers residents plenty of year-round opportunities to kayak, swim, ice skate, and so much more. Start your Saturday morning off at Deer Run Golf Course, which offers 9 holes of scenic golfing. Enjoy the pristine courses at this public golf course.
